     Indian PT Candidate’s PT education is NOT substantially Equivalent to a US Degree in Physical Therapy [which is a Master’s Degree] because the Average Indian Physical Therapy candidate lacks 43 credit hours on average of General Education Credits.  49 US State Licensing Require a Min. of 60 General Education Credit hour and 90 Professional Education  Credits.

  1. 1.Take and Pass TOEFL/IbT by obtaining Min. English speaking score of 26 and overall score of 89.  One must prepare for the exam. Please see this web page and go to the Website: www.ets.org.

  2. 2.Process FCCPT Type 1 Visa Screen/Comprehensive Educational Report at www.fccpt.org.  Please click here for further details

  3. 3.Enroll at IGNOU under the Associate’s Program. Use  sample work sheet to assess which courses to take.  You will need to allow a good solid 12 months to complete the necessary academic course work.  You will be judged by the FCCPT using Coursework Tool Evaluation 4 [CWT5].

  4. 4.Apply & pay fee to take US PT Board practice exam ONLINE!!

  5. 5.Have Educational Credentials Review by FCCPT 2nd time. Click here

  6. 6.Apply for  New York  or Virginia Licensure

  7. 7.Obtain Authorization to take NPTE

  8. 8.Go to the US Embassy/Consulate and apply for a B-1/2 Visa

  9. 9.If Visa is ISSUED Go to USA to take the NPTE.
